The more dogs I meet the harder it is for me to choose which breed I like the most!

Alley was born to one of my sister-in-laws cats and we took her on as company for my then 2yo shihtzu. She spent the first two days under the lounge creating thunder from her tiny tummy. To my dog's credit he never barked or chased, he just laid down, nose to the lounge, and waited.
Her first 4 years were spent as an inside cat but a move of house and a disastrous venture next door (big dog chased her back up the fence where she fell down and into the pool) she is now a house/yard card and never ventures beyond.
She is still a tortoiseshell however and is the most genetically unpredictable (goes on season out of season) bad tempered beartch of a cat that I have ever met.
But she loves the hand that feeds her so how can I not love her back!
I took a drive with my wedding photog buddy Julie up to Hillarys yesterday to view the venue for a beach wedding we're shooting next weekend.
We got caught in a traffic jame on the freeway due to a car that had caught fire up near Mounts Bay Rd exit but the worst was over and the traffic was still a steady flow and didn't slow us up too badly. Apparently the fire was caused by an electrical fault.
I hope the sky is as dramatic next week - we'll get some awesome pics! A wedding with groomsmen and bridesMATES - all boys!
Halloween for me was 5 teenage girls trick or treating and horror-movie-marathoning!
Last year my friends and I started an annual get together of female photography friends (plus kids coz we need models!) to spend the weekend in Dwellingup. We had an absolute hoot last year and got up to some shenanigans and this year was no different!
I finally got my new camera yesterday and was very keen to test out it's ISO at the high end.
My menageries of pets were my models:
First up is Alley (aka Beartch!) - have you ever had a tortoiseshell???
Rex and Annika are my Western Bearded Dragons (pogona minor minor) - they are nearly 7 years old now and have achieved senior citizen status!
Cleo is our Stimson's Python (antaresia stimsoni) - she shed yesterday and now she is all purdy again
This is Maggie, Maltese x West Highland Terrier - she has the most animated face I've ever seen on a dog!
And Jackson, Shih tzu - my old man and best friend...he is off to see Sarah at the clippers today and will come back home a very handsome man!
I had the opportunity to go along and support some friends we sponsored in a natural bodybuilding competition last weekend.
Since my involvement I have discovered that the world of bodybuilding is not for the faint hearted! The words diet, training and dedication really do not do justice to the amazing ability of these people! I was amazed at their results (they just don't look the same with clothes on!) and delighted to see femininity, class and grace while watching the ladies! And if over 50's can compete in bodybuilding comps the rest of us can have NO excuses to be trim!
A few months ago I was invited to an Autumn Hafla in which my cousin was performing. I had the opportunity to photograph the other troups performing that night and recently got together specifically for a photo session with a dance troup called Tribe Alive.
They were a great bunch of girls, braving a cold and windy Sunday morning down at South Beach in Fremantle. The costumes were delightfully feminine and bright and I learned that each piece of jewellery and different parts of their costumes are considered a momento adding to the history of the overall costume.
